In RUNE, players take the role of Ragnar the Viking, greatest warrior of a ancient age. In a time when brutal strength means power, it is Ragnar who fulfills justice on the blade of his mighty battle-axe. Players will traverse spectacular settings both above and below the peaks of the far north as Ragnar battles his way through many awesome and diverse kingdoms to a final confrontation with the Sark Amen, the dark warrior-masters of the under-world.

RUNE is a third-person view game of fierce action and adventure immersed in a blend of Norse mythology and vivid fantasy. Players will need their intellect as well as their superior strength to endure as they journey the completely 3D game setting warding off fantastic creatures from both Norse legend and developer imagination with their variety of swords, axes and magical equipment.

The gameplay is a good combination of brutal combat and exploration, with diverse levels stretching from a Viking town to Dwarven caves to a city in the mountains. Players will posess a wide assortment of melee weapons based both in fact and fantasy as Ragnar jouneys deeper into the realms of myth and further from his old existence.

RUNE comes with a full single player campaign game as well as numerous specially-made multi-player worlds that allow players to cooperate or compete as Ragnar or other Viking warriors. The multi-player experience also has special handicap and team modes to broaden the multiplayer experience.
