Humble Bundle Returns
In case you've been living under a rock, Humble Bundle sells a group a cross-platform games at the price that you set.
Besides the great deal of getting pretty good games at a great price, this arrangement is great for Linux because in order to be included in the "bundle", it forces the game developers to release Linux versions. Plus the site publishes averages price paid stratified by platform, so it shows game devs that Linux users are willing to pay for games, even more than windows users. Furthermore the charities are great and the cross-platform nature of the promotion plants the seed that there are other platforms out there other than windows and mac.
Unfortunately, the title game -- Voxatron -- looks pretty lame and is still alpha, though I have not played it. In all probability, the list of games included in the bundle will continue to grow (like last time), thus I will be purchasing the bundle toward the end of the 2-week period to spread my payment across all the games.
Happy gaming!
